Phone Alerts (voicemail and text messages)

Virginia Tech provides the VT Phone Alerts Automated Notification System for use by all current students, employees, and other authorized individuals subject to the following Conditions of Use ("COU").

In addition, when subscribing to this specific service, you and Virginia Tech will be subject to any guidelines or rules applicable to this service. Virginia Tech may communicate to you or post from time to time at the VT Alerts website these guidelines or rules and these shall be deemed part of the COU.

Desktop Alerts

Virginia Tech provides the desktop alerts application subject to the following Conditions of Use (COU).

Description
Virginia Tech's VT Desktop Alerts application provides for delivery of messages from VT Alerts a specialized software application installed on each user's personal computer (collectively, the "application"). Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new features that augment or enhance the current application will be subject to the COU.

To use the application
To use the application, you must download and install the software on a your personal computer and be connected to the internet.

Using the application
By installing and using the software, you agree to the following:

  1. You will not knowingly restrict or inhibit any other user from using the application.
  2. You will not impersonate any other person, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any other person or entity.

Users of the software should also adhere to Virginia Tech's Acceptable Use Policy.
